Whitley Bay Ice Skating club is run by a small group of parents & adult skaters who organise competition and events for the members of the skating club.
Our goal is to be inclusive and to organise events that include everyone from those just leaving Polar Club and venturing onto patch to our most competitive skaters who are looking to the British or beyond.
In a normal year, we organise 3 competitions:- 2 quarterlies and an Annual competition, plus the occasional Festival Trophy which is a fun event held every few years. We also organise trips to the British, and an annual Christmas Party.
We are also open to other ideas and suggestions that would benefit all of our members.
We have all enjoyed our time on the committee, and it’s a great way to get to know other parents and get involved. However, many of our committee members no longer have actively skating children, and we are always looking for extra help.
If you can help out at competitions, or would like to get involved on the committee, please get in touch. We can’t continue to run quarterly and annual competitions without more help!
